Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading or using Brainzy, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Brainzy. The Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions also apply to your use of the app downloaded from the App Store.

2. Use of Brainzy

Brainzy is a daily puzzle game. Every day, it offers the same six puzzles to all players, times your games, awards points and XP, and lets you compare your results with friends and other players.

Brainzy is intended for personal, non-commercial use. You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, or have the permission of a parent or guardian.

3. User accounts

A guest account is created automatically when you first open the app. You can link it to Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In to keep your progression across devices.

Your username is public. It must not impersonate someone else, and must not be offensive, hateful, sexual or infringing on anyone’s rights. We may ask you to change a username, or change it ourselves, if it breaks these rules.

You are responsible for the activity on your account. You can delete it at any time from Settings › My account.

4. Gameplay

Each game can be played once per day. Points are calculated by our servers based on your result (for example your time, mistakes or number of guesses), and are converted into XP that determines your level and grade.

We may adjust puzzles, scoring rules, levels and leaderboards to keep the game fair and enjoyable. Leaderboards are for fun: they give no right to any reward.

5. Virtual Coins and Hints

Brainzy includes an in-game currency, “Coins”, which you earn by playing (and, where offered, by choosing to watch a rewarded ad). Coins can be spent on Hints during a game. The rules (amounts, limits, costs) are shown in the app and may change.

Coins are a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use a game feature. They cannot be bought, have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money or any real-world item, and are not refundable. Coins may be lost if your account is deleted. We may correct a balance affected by an error or by abuse.

6. Advertising

Brainzy is free and may display advertising. Ads are never shown during a game. Your choices about personalized advertising are described in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads or the websites they lead to.

7. Purchases — Remove Ads

Brainzy offers a one-time in-app purchase, “Remove Ads”, which turns off advertising in the app, including rewarded ads. The price is shown in the App Store before you confirm.

Purchases are processed by Apple and subject to Apple’s terms. Refund requests are handled by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com). You can restore your purchase on another device using the same Apple ID, from the app’s settings.

Where applicable, you acknowledge that the purchase gives you immediate access to digital content, and you agree that it is delivered immediately.

8. Intellectual property

Brainzy, its name, logo, design, puzzles, texts, sounds and software are protected by intellectual property laws and belong to us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose. You may share screenshots and results of your games.

9. Prohibited use

You agree not to:

• cheat, use bots, scripts or any tool that automates play or alters results;
• exploit bugs to gain an advantage — please report them instead;
• create accounts in bulk or interfere with the service or its servers;
• copy, decompile or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
• harass other players or use an inappropriate username or profile photo.

10. Account termination

You can stop using Brainzy and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or delete an account, or remove results from the leaderboards, in case of a serious or repeated breach of these Terms (for example cheating), after informing you where possible.

11. Availability

We do our best to keep Brainzy available every day, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Brainzy needs an internet connection to load puzzles and leaderboards. We may interrupt it for maintenance, updates or reasons beyond our control.

12. Limitation of liability

Brainzy is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of data, loss of progression or interruptions of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer, or our liability where it cannot legally be limited.

13. Changes to the service and to these terms

Brainzy evolves: we may add, change or remove games and features. We may also update these Terms; we will update the date at the top of this page and let you know in the app about significant changes. Continuing to use Brainzy after an update means you accept the new Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by [GOVERNING LAW — e.g. French law], without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
